It was granted last Friday to the Inter-Force School for Biological and Chemical Nuclear Defense la Honorary citizenship of Rieti.
With a solemn military ceremony, in the presence of the highest civilian and religious local military officials and a considerable number of students of the public schools, the first citizen of Rieti, attorney Simone Petrangeli, handed over to Brigadier General Sossio Andreottola, commander of the inter-agency institute, the parchment with the following wording: "The Municipal Administration of Rieti confers honorary citizenship to the Inter-Force School for NBC Defense. The Inter-defense Defense School NBC has always shown a real sense of duty, constant presence and support alongside local authorities in dealing with delicate issues of common interest".
In a climate of great cordiality, the morning continued with a brief visit by the students who took part in the ceremony which allowed us to appreciate, in addition to the museum room of NBC materials, also the oldest and most valuable historical artistic component: the Cloister of the Blessed Colomba and the Oratory of S. Pietro Martire, which preserves the precious and imposing fresco of the Last Judgment, made in the XVI century by Bartolomeo and Lorenzo Torresani, kept inside the School.
