The inaugural ceremony of the 131 ° was held yesterday at the NATO Defense College in Rome Senior Course. The ceremony was presided over by General Knud Bartels, former head of the NATO Military Committee from the 2012 to the 2015 who was welcomed, dean of the College together with the entire staff.
In his speech, Brigadier General František Mičánek recalled the long history of the Atlantic Alliance underlining its ability to change over time and to adapt to increasingly complex international contexts thanks also to its enlargement from 12 to 29 member countries.
Al Senior Course, lasting six months, 66 attending (military and public officials) of 31 Countries participate.
The course of high strategic value in terms of training and research aims to broaden NATO's knowledge in the international security context.
