This morning, General Claudio Graziano, Chief of Defense Staff met, in his office in Palazzo Caprara, Admiral Michelle Howard, commander of the NATO Joint Force Command of Naples.
At the heart of the talks, the situation in the Mediterranean and the so-called "south side" of the Alliance in light of the decisions taken at the recent Warsaw Alliance summit. The two senior officers also spoke about the KFOR mission and the Balkan region whose stabilization is of particular interest to our country.
This is the first meeting of Admiral Howard with General Graziano after his inauguration, last 7 June, at the helm of the most important NATO command in southern Europe.
