Army Corps General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo has been appointed as the new extraordinary commissioner for the Covid-19 emergency. The appointment was decided yesterday by the president of the council of ministers, Mario Draghi.

General Figliuolo has been the Army logistic commander since 7 November 2018. His appointment to such an important position is a source of pride and satisfaction for all men and women of the Armed Forces, as well as a recognition of the organizational quality, commitment and work that the Defense and the Italian Army have carried out since since the beginning of the contingent health emergency, to serve the country and its citizens.
