The official visit of Defense Minister Guido Crosetto to Japan for a series of institutional meetings has begun.
Upon his arrival, Minister Crosetto was welcomed by the Italian ambassador to Japan, Gianluigi Benedetti, and had a first cordial informal meeting with his Japanese counterpart Yasukazu Hamada.
"Relations between Italy and Japan said Minister Crosetto “they are fundamental to face the geopolitical and technological challenges of the future” underlining the strong relations between the two countries.
At the center of the talks, the strengthening of the strategic partnership between Italy and Japan and the collaboration in research and development, not only in the defense field but also in the civil one.
Bilateral meetings with the Japanese counterpart, with the deputy defense minister of Ukraine and the trilateral meeting with the counterparts of Japan and the United Kingdom are scheduled for tomorrow.
