The selection of Italian athletes participating in the World Military Games (GMM) bring home the first medals of the competition, which is turning to Korea, from the 2 to the 11 October, winning two silvers and a bronze.

The first satisfactions come from fencing, where Italian athletes reached the final stages, giving two podiums in the individual foil: the Air Force sergeant (AM) Valentina Cipriani won the silver, passed only in the final by the Russian Deriglazo , while the chief airman (AM) Alessio Foconi won the bronze medal.

Another great result comes from the Paralympic athletes of the Paralympic Defense Sports Group: the corporal of the Pellegrina Army Caputo won the silver medal in the launch of the weight.

Also noteworthy is the police officer chosen Alessia Regis, judoka of Carabinieri Sports Group, which concludes its first military world games by finishing in fifth place in the -63 kg category.
