A further bronze arrives instead from the military pentathlon, with the Army corporal Manuela Alberigi who ranks third in the category newcomer. The first Italian medal in the history of the world, in this discipline.
Also noteworthy are the placements of the boxing trio, all Army, made up of corporal master Sarchioto Giovanni in the 75 kg category, the 1 ° caporalmaggiore Rosciglione Gianluca for the 81 Kg category and the corporal chosen Di Savino Alessio in the 56 kg. All three achieved fifth place in their respective rankings, stopping at the quarter-finals.

The World Military Games are organized every four years by the International Military Sports Council (CISM), which promotes closeness and friendship among peoples through sport, with the motto "friendship through sport". About 4500 athletes from more than 100 countries participate in this sixth edition. Italy participates in competitions with 81 athletes, of international and Olympic level, under the Sport Groups of Army, Navy, Aeronautics, Carabinieri and Guardia di Finanza.
