For the celebrations of the 156th anniversary of the unification of Italy, the Undersecretary of State for Defense, Honorable Domenico Rossi, this morning, placed a laurel wreath at the tomb of Vittorio Emanuele II, in the church of Santa Maria ad Martyres al Pantheon.
"The Day of National Unity, of the Constitution, of the hymn and of the flag celebrates the birth date of our country, finally united. In a period of extraordinary changes, in a dynamic scenario marked by new challenges and increasingly asymmetric threats, the unity of the country represents an indissoluble and added value in the European and world context"Underlines the undersecretary Rossi.
"In this context"Concludes Undersecretary Rossi,"our commitment is to defend, keep alive and transmit to young people the values of freedom and democracy, for which our fathers sacrificed their lives. Values to which we must refer in order to find the strength to look ahead".
