Everything is ready for the 2015 Alpine Troops (CaSTA) Ski Championships

The majestic peaks of the Pustertal Dolomites and the breathtaking landscapes of South Tyrol will be the backdrop to the 67 ^ edition of the Alpine Troop Ski Championships (CaSTA), an international event which will officially open on Monday afternoon and which will see involved in challenging skiing competitions over 1.500 athletes military from 15 Countries.

At the opening ceremony, which will begin at 15 with the parade of athletes and the musical carousel of the Fanfare of the Alpine Brigade Julia, the highest military posts in the country and numerous civil authorities are expected.

Born in the 1931 with the aim of assessing the level of training achieved by the Alpine departments, today the Championships represent an important meeting and international meeting point for soldiers operating in the difficult natural mountain environment; this year, in addition to the Italian Army soldiers, there will be 15 foreign representatives from Argentina, Bulgaria, Chile, France, Germany, Lebanon, Macedonia, Oman, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, the United States, Switzerland and Hungary and from the command .

In addition to the races, the week's program is full of side events dedicated to sport and the mountains; already on Monday evening, a representative of the Alpine Troops will challenge the Icebears team in a hockey game at the Dobbiaco Ice Stadium (beginning 20 hours with live coverage on Rai Sport2) whose proceeds will be entirely donated to the "South Tyrol Cancer Assistance" Association .
