This morning it was held in Trapani the opening ceremony of the NATO exercise Trident Juncture 2015.
The exercise, the most important of the Alliance in 2015, takes place in Italy, Portugal, Spain, the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, and involves 36000 soldiers from over 30 countries.
The ceremony was attended by Undersecretary of Defense Gioacchino Alfano, the Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Ambassador Alexander Vershbow, the Head of the NATO Military Commission, General Petr Pavel, the Chief of Defense Staff, General Claudio Graziano, and the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, General Pasquale Preziosa.
