This morning in Rome, near the embassy of the Russian Federation, there was a small demonstration of closeness to Russia by Italians, mainly members of the European front for Syria, and members of the Syrian community in Italy.
A group of demonstrators, including Msgr. Hilarion Capucci, archbishop of Jerusalem (born in Syria in Aleppo), delivered a letter of thanks to an embassy official.
Flowers were then placed in memory of the victims of the Russian plane crashed last Saturday in Egypt with 224 people on board.
The representative of the Syrian community, the doctor Jamal Abo Abbas, explained: "We are here to witness our gratitude towards the Russian people and its president for what they are doing - fighting for European and American countries - to defeat ISIS in Syria and in Iraq ".
