The centenary of the foundation of the National Association of the Disabled and Invalids of War was celebrated yesterday in Milan. The Undersecretary of State for Defense, Domenico Rossi, in his speech underlined the importance of the event "not to forget the sacrifice of love and dedication that marked the personal history of those who fought and that of our country."
"The Association contributes with concrete facts to carry forward the values of brotherhood, democracy and freedom, transmitting them to the new generations"- Rossi said -"In today's society, all combative and weapon associations combined with a single common purpose can be an even richer, unique and irreplaceable heritage of values."
To conclude the event the Hymn of Mameli performed by the fanfare of the third carabinieri regiment Lombardia.
