The Undersecretary of State for Defense Angelo Tofalo today received the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Italy, Jong-hyun Choi, at Palazzo Aeronautica.
During the meeting, Undersecretary Tofalo and Ambassador Jong-hyun Choi had the opportunity to address issues of interest such as relations between Italy and the Republic of Korea in the economic-commercial sector, in the areas of research and scientific cooperation and cultural exchanges. Particular attention was paid to the current international geopolitical scenario in terms of defense and security.
Undersecretary Tofalo, who will represent Italy and in particular the Defense, will speak with the opening speech at the Seoul Defense Dialogue 2018 to be held in the Korean capital from 12 to 14 September and will see the participation of high political representatives and the International Community of over 48 nations. An important appointment to discuss the issues of cyber security, the role of Defense, we will talk about maritime security, new forms of terrorist threats and military technology.
