The museum of the Municipality of Gignese presents the new series of Pepita by the artist Iaia Filiberti.
Twelve unpublished chine on paper and the 2005 cartoon are exhibited, in which Pepita expresses himself, as always, with his curious, fearless, net look.
The graphic female character with many character facets, admires, in a particular way, Joan of Arc and the spirit of the ancient knights: in front of a debased and offended people, in the face of corrupt and cruel enemies you cannot escape, but you react!
La Pulzella d'Orléans e Pepita they are united by the sense of honor, by the respect of the weakest and above all by the love of Patria, understood as a place of peaceful coexistence and civilization.
Pepita she is fascinated by those who know how to obey and command at the same time, from those who know how to make a team (or body) and have a great cause to fight for. The meeting of Pepita, heroine of the 21st century, with the ancient and noble discipline of weapons, and with the ensemble of the military forces that, of a State, constitute its Armed body: on earth ( Army), at sea (Marina) and in the air (Aeronautics).
The research started from the heraldic symbols and in particular the detailed analysis of the mottos that distinguish the various bodies allowed Iaia Filiberti to exalt its heroism.
With the new art project entitled Pepita reloaded, the heroine transforms herself, puts herself at the service of the armed forces and enters the scene, with her disruptive personality and with the irony that has always distinguished her.
