The sixth edition of the year has just ended Seafuture, exhibition of the most modern technologies in the maritime sector. With the presence of 177 between participating entities and 42 foreign delegations, the event involves in a close collaboration the main defense companies, military bodies and Italian Universities in order to create an integrated network of national and international knowledge.
In the afternoon of the 22 June the closing ceremony was held in the presence of the Minister of Defense, Elisabetta Trenta, accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Defense, General Claudio Graziano, and by the Chief of Naval Staff, Valter Girardelli.
After greeting the foreign delegations on board the Amerigo Vespucci and having awarded the winning students SEAFUTURE AWARDS 2018, Minister Trenta explained how the "protection and respect for the seas are the two main concepts around which the attention of the Italian Navy rotates"In what defines our" blue century ".
"The sea represents and will increasingly represent a fundamental asset for the growth of our country, of our country in Europe and in Europe in the world."To this end, the new administration will be characterized by sustainable growth focused on technologies green, naval diplomacy for cooperation with allied countries and support for national industry.
