The Ministry of Defense is among the protagonists of the 2017 edition of the BolognaFiere Motor Show, the leading Italian kermesse in the automotive sector.
From 2 to 10 December 2017, the general public will have the unique opportunity to know the means used by the Army, Navy, Aeronautics and Arms of Carabinieri on national and international territory within the framework of international stabilization and international cooperation missions.
The Defense exhibition area, over 900 square meters located in Pavilion 16, will have as its main theme the technological progress of the vehicles supplied and their dual use (Dual Use) also in the civil field and where it will be possible to observe, in the dedicated sectors to each Armed Force, some of the most significant and recently acquired means.
They will be exposed and illustrated to the public: a Ford vehicle Cleaning, n. 1 snowmobile Sky Doo e 1 multi terrain vehicle Dtv Shredde, used by the Special Forces of the Italian Army; an assault dinghy used by the raiders of the Navy; an MB339 aircraft belonging to the National Aerobatic Team (PAN); an Alfa Romeo “Giulia quadrifoglio verde”, a Lotus Evora S, a Ducati Multistrada 1200 S, employed by the Army of the Carabinieri for the Institute's service and a Guzzi "California Touring 1400" bumper motorcycle.
In addition, visitors will be able to see a selection of technical equipment supplied to the various Weapons and Specialties at a glance and try a flight simulator of a National Naval Patrol (PAN) MB 339, a sailing simulator and one for training all 'helicopter assignment on the ships of our Navy.
There will be not only static exhibitions, but also dynamics with the launch (2 December at 12.00) of athletes of the Army Parachute Sports Center, including the multiple world champion and Italian, lieutenant Giuseppe Tresoldi, and demonstrations of driving Lightweight Multirole Tactical Vehicles (VTLM) Lynx, in the configuration for the Army and the Military Air Force (on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays).
