General Errico inaugurates the exhibition on the military body of the Italian red cross in the Great War

Last night, the Chief of Staff of the General Army Corps Danilo Errico inaugurated at historical infantry museum in Rome the exhibition dedicated to the military corps of the Italian Red Cross.

The event was attended by the National Inspector of the Corps, Major General Gabriele Lupini, the National Inspector of the Corps of Volunteer Nurses of the CRI, Monica Dialuce Gambino, Lieutenant General Francesco Castrataro, Head of the Infrastructure Department of the Army Staff, the Commander military of the mapitale in vacant seat, general of division Agostino Biancafarina and other military and civil authorities.

After the presentation of the initiative curated by the general of the division Giuseppenicola Tota and by the major general Gabriele Lupini, General Errico addressed a brief address of greeting to all those present, recalling that "Humanity, impartiality and universality unite the army to the military corps of the Italian red cross ". The head of SME then officially opened the exhibition with the ribbon cutting, carried out together with the national inspector of the body, and the subsequent visit to the exhibition halls.

The exhibition, set up on the ground floor of the museum located in Piazza Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, collects the material and memorabilia from the historical collection of the military body of the Italian Red Cross, kept in Florence. The exhibition represents a journey that re-proposes the immense rescue work carried out by the Italian red cross from May 1915 to the entire 1919.

The historical infantry museum is open to the public:
- from Tuesday to Friday from 09: 30 to 12: 30 and from 15: 30 to 19: 00;
- Saturday and last Sunday of the month from 09: 30 to 12: 30, Monday closing week.

In the same opening hours it is also possible to visit the exhibition on Great War entitled "Bulletin 1268. The Paper Border".

Admission is completely free.
