The 20 June, the first operational day of Seafuture, began under the banner of numerous bilateral meetings between exhibiting companies and present delegations that this year have seen their presence increased, confirming the importance of the event in the international scenario.

At the start also the numerous conferences that will interest the large agenda of Seafuture.

In the morning the first stage of one of the meetings on the most important issues in this fair began: the seminar on Blue Tourism organized by ENEA1entitled "Environmental Strategies for Sustainable Tourism"(Italy-France Maritime Territorial Cooperation Program 2014-2020 - Funding for the European Regional Development Fund ERDF) The general objective of the project known under the acronym STR.A.TU.S. is to increase international competitiveness micro-enterprises and SMEs in the cross-border supply chain of sustainable tourism, operating in particular in coastal areas of high natural value and affected by extensive tourist flows in Sardinia, Liguria and PACA (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur). the Italian-French consultancy body has been met, which will serve as an address for the development of the project, in the following days there will be bilateral meetings between Italian and French companies and seminars on the main topics.

Not only Blue Tourism but also Blue Growth during the first morning of conferences: Enterprise Europe Network2 together with its ALPS consortium3 has made the seminar "Funding Opportunities: Horizon 2020 & Beyond to create leadership in the maritime industry". The ALPS consortium aims to support the entrepreneurial activity of local SMEs, assist them in developing at European and international level, in particular by offering assistance on community legislation, opportunities for international cooperation, innovation and technology transfer for "Blue Economy" access. "and foster competitiveness and innovation. In this context, the opportunities available for the 2018-2020 period in the field of Blue Growth for investments in research and innovation.

During the morning the strategic-political conferences of the Italian Navy were also held. The first, on the global approach to maritime security, analyzed the modern threats in the maritime domain linked to national economic interests and to the security and stability of world trade.
