Defense - TEST Consortium: energy efficiency agreements

The Ministry of Defense intends to establish collaborations with Universities and research institutes, for the carrying out of scientific study activities, technological transfer and high education in order to stimulate joint initiatives and programs of activities on topics of common interest.

With this objective the Defense Minister, Roberta Pinotti, after the positive experience of the Task Force '' immovable '', has also decided to activate one dedicated to the energy sector: the Energy Project Structure.

Una Task Force that in its areas of competence it has, among others, the rationalization and reduction of spending in the energy sector; design activities aimed at energy efficiency of the sites used by the Ministry of Defense; the production of energy from renewable sources - photovoltaic, wind, biomass, geothermal, etc. - and non-renewable, electric mobility, in a "Smart" logic.

The TEST Consortium, which brings together all the Universities of the Campania Region and the CNR Institutes, wanted to join the far-sighted initiative immediately. In this context, the collaboration agreement signed this morning by Undersecretary Gioacchino Alfano and by the president of the TEST Consortium of Naples, prof. ing. Umberto De Martinis.

A precious collaboration said Undersecretary Alfano hoping for sign other similar agreements with other representatives of the academic and research world of the country. This is the first time a similar initiative has been undertakenthe undersecretary added, pointing out the strong will to plan effectively in the facts energy efficiency and therefore also economic efficiency.

The agreement signed today is characterized by technical scientific aims and regards the carrying out of research activities in the sector of energy production from "renewable sources", as well as systems for reducing consumption. In addition, special consideration is given to scientific / technical consultancy, teaching and training activities.
