From the 24 May to the 2 June open doors to Palazzo Marina

After the success of the two days of Open House Rome, in which a high flow of visitors was recorded, the headquarters of the Navy still shows itself to the public.

From 24 May to 2 June, Palazzo Marina will be exceptionally open during 09: 00-12: 00 and 14: 00-18: 00 with free admission. The visits will start at full hours.

In addition to visiting the historic building designed by Giulio Magni, Valadier's nephew, guests will be able to see a photo exhibition titled "The Great War on the Sea", and a curated by Ecopneus on the recycling of tires.

Palazzo Marina is an impressive complex that extends for 31.000 square meters, of which 11.500 covered. The entrance propyla, which overlooks the river Tiber, is enriched by the anchors of two Austrian battleships: the Viribus Unitis, sunk during the First World War, and the Tegetthoff, war prey delivered to Italy in the 1919 and dismantled in the 1925 in La Spice.

In the planning and realization of the environments the will to insert metaphorical elements linked to the sea predominates, as if the entire building were to be the decorated stage of the life of the Navy.
