14/09/17

Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September, from 09.00 to 14.00, at the historic rooms of Palazzo Aeronautica the exhibition "Cieli Futuristi - from 1916 to 1942" will be open to the public free of charge.

Visitors can access the exhibition by going to the entrance of Palazzo Aeronautica in Viale Università, 4. Public access, accompanied by guides in Italian, will be scheduled every 30 minutes with last admission at 13.30pm.

The initiative is part of the activities organized on the occasion of the 65th World Congress of Aeronautical and Space Medicine, promoted by the Italian Association of Aeronautical and Space Medicine (AIMAS).

The exhibition, curated by the art historian Dr. Maurizio Scudiero, collects more than fifty works dedicated to flight including those of the most famous exponents of the "Aeropainting" movement which had a moment of particular affirmation and prominence in the years following the First World War.

On this occasion, it will also be possible to visit the historic rooms of Palazzo Aeronautica, considered an admirable example of Italian rationalism and among the monumental complexes of greatest historical and architectural interest in the country. Built in only 18 months from 1929 to 1931, it is still the institutional headquarters of the Italian Air Force.
