It is with this slogan and with a promotional video released in recent days that this November 4th, National Unity Day and Armed Forces Day, was experienced, all to underline the deep bond that unites Italians to the many men and women with stars. 

Link also reiterated by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella: "the military instrument turns its attention to safeguarding the lives of our fellow citizens and international stability, highlighting quality and professional skills and collaborating with allied countries and friends, to create an environment in which peace and the development of democratic principles can flourish and the rights of the person, respecting different cultures and sensibilities. Women and men in uniform who today, in a context far from the wars of annihilation of the last century, serve the country with the same values ​​of loyalty, commitment and humanity, specific to our history".

The Head of State paid tribute in the morning to the fallen of all the wars with the deposition of a crown on the tomb of "The Unknown Soldier”To the Altar of the Fatherland. After the ceremony, together with the Defense Minister, Roberta Pinotti, and the Chief of Defense Staff, General Claudio Graziano, handed over the Knight Crosses of the Italian military order to the banner of the 1 Air Force RegimentAntares"And to the war flag of the 1 Regiment Carabinieri Paratroopers"Tuscania". To seal the event the Frecce Tricolori and the arrival in Piazza Venezia of an army paratrooper bearing a national flag of 250 meters, then lying in front of the Altar of the Fatherland.

Present at the ceremony the highest civil and military positions, including the Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi, the President of the Senate, Pietro Grasso, the President of the Chamber, Laura Boldrini, the mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi and the President of the Region, Nicola Zingaretti.
