Tomorrow at 11.00 at the Ceremonial Hall of the Municipality of Livorno, in the presence of the councilor for culture, Dr. Serafino Fasulo, and the president of the organizing committee of the Trophy, captain of the vessel Claudio Luigi Gabrini, the 32ª Edition of the Naval Academy Trophy will be presented and City of Livorno, scheduled from the 23 April to the 3 May.

This year, the sailing regattas will feature the classes Optimist, Vaurien, Fireball, Windsurf, IRC / ORC-X35, 2.4 MR, Martin 16, Snipe, Star, Catamarans Class A, J24, Trident and classic-vintage sails. Among the many new features of this edition there will be Tuscany Regatta, to which the biggest boats will take part (IRC / ORC / X35). It is a sail of high altitude between the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago (Gorgona, Capraia, Pianosa, Montecristo, Giannutri, Giglio and Elba), over 180 miles, during which the crews will measure their sailing skills.

Another new feature of this edition will be the Regatta of radio-controlled sailboats (IOM class), which will be held on April 25 at the Darsena Nuova quay.

The International One Meter (IOM) class, established internationally in the 1988, is a class of radio-controlled craft, whose dimensions do not exceed one meter in length. This type of hull, compared to other similar types, is the one that boasts the largest number of participants, in the field of sailing competitions, both national and international.

A further boost to the internationality of the event will be given by the participation of the foreign marines, who will take part in the Trident class regattas. At the last edition participated the crews of 22 different nations.

The TAN is not only a competitive event but it is also a moment of encounter and fun because in the context of the sailing sport event, events, conventions, exhibitions and shows will be organized. Inside the Port of Livorno, at the Molo Mediceo "Quay 74", will be set up the Village Tuttovela, a large exhibition area with over 120 stands and home to many entertainment events.
