Finmeccanica announced today, on the occasion of the World ATM Congress in Madrid (8-10 March), the signing of agreements for a total value of approximately 120 million euros. After the recent successes in Italy, Canada and Singapore, Finmeccanica's Security and Information Systems division will supply Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems also to Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Morocco. More than 150 countries already use Finmeccanica's cutting-edge solutions, based on proprietary technologies that guarantee safety, high performance and environmental sustainability.

In particular, Finmeccanica has been selected as a partner of the Malaysian company AAT to supply the new air traffic control center for the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, which will be completed by 2018. The agreement provides for the design, development and the construction of the new center, for which primary and secondary radars, Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) technologies, a Ground-Based Augmentation System (GBAS), the satellite navigation control system (Global Navigation Satellite System) will be provided - GNSS), VHF radio, AFTN / AMHS ports and navigation support systems.

Finmeccanica will also supply the Royal Saudi Air Force, by the end of 2017, with six state-of-the-art air traffic control systems, three of which are fixed and three transportable, each consisting of primary and secondary radar, communication systems and center. control.

Finally, the Moroccan airport authority, ONDA, has selected Finmeccanica to enhance the air traffic control systems through the supply of six surveillance radars that will be installed in the south of the country and an additional radar for the main hub of the area. Oriental. This contract makes Finmeccanica the largest supplier of ATC systems in Morocco, the African country with the highest number of air traffic control radars.
