Australia has signed a production contract with Germany for 123 heavy weapons transport vehicles (Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle) Boxer. Over 100 vehicles will be destined for Germany. The deal represents Australia's largest military export to Germany, based on a mutual understanding between the two governments.

Rheinmetall announced that the contract, worth 2,7 billion euros, also includes maintenance and repairs, and expects deliveries to begin in 2025.

The vehicles, based on the "Boxer" Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle (CRV) of the Australian Army, will be produced in Queensland by more than 650 Rheinmetall workers.
