Fincantieri signed today, at the Italian Embassy in Athens, a series of Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a selection of potential new suppliers as part of the prestigious program of the Hellenic Minister of Defense for the construction of four corvettes and the provision of Integrated Logistic Support (The "if In Service Support (ISS).
Fincantieri counts among its clients numerous foreign navies and is a partner of some of the main European defense companies in the context of supranational programs. The purpose of these agreements is to lay the foundations for defining possible commercial relationships for specific supplies. In fact, the Group, which can count on a wide network of trusted suppliers, is continually seeking to expand and strengthen its activities and will set up a supply chain dedicated to activities in the context of the development of these segments initiated by Greece.
Fincantieri carried out scouting activities in Greece in order to identify suppliers with whom to initiate potential collaborations with reference to the existing Greek program or to any new naval vessel program, with the main objective of strengthening the Group's cooperation with Greek companies.
