Kosovo: donation of books in Italian to the Gjakova library

A donation of textbooks in Italian, made available by the Dante Alighieri society and carried out through the Italian contingent of KFOR, was held in the regional library "Ibrahim Rugova" in Gjakova, Kosovo. .

The Roman publishing house has in fact donated over a hundred volumes of Italian literature, in adherence to a program promoted by the Italian armed forces through the personnel in charge of civil military cooperation (CIMIC) of the Italian-led Multinational Battle Group West (MNBG W).

The activity, which will soon be followed by similar ones, provided the first answer to the growing demand for teaching Italian language and culture from students in the main local schools.

Present at the event the director of the library and the councilor for culture of the municipality of Gjakova, Mr. Meriton Ferizi, who expressed his heartfelt thanks, sanctioning the creation of a section of the library entirely dedicated to Italy.
