Niger: Italians donate sports material

The Italian contingent of the MISIN mission As part of civil-military cooperation activities (CIMIC), it has concluded a sports project in favor of Base Aérienne 101 (BA101), Niamey military airport in Nigeria, where the contingent is housed Italian.

The initiative, aimed at encouraging the practice of sporting activity in favor of military personnel of the Nigerian Air Force and their families, involved the modernization of football and beach volleyball fields, the supply of gymnastic equipment and the donation of sports kits and accessories.

In his speech, in the presence of the soldiers and families of the BA101, the commander of MISIN, air brigade general Marco Lant, highlighted the excellent relations established with the local staff and recalled the spirit of this project, aimed at providing a concrete and direct help to the military and civilians who operate at the air base every day.

On behalf of the Chief of Staff of the Niger Air Force Colonel Amirou Aboul Kader, Lieutenant Colonel Amadou Moumouni, Deputy Commander of BA101, thanked the Italian contingent for the works carried out and for the active support constantly offered by the Italian contingent.
