The athletes of the Rowing Sports Center of the Sabaudia Navy, Agata Fantini and Cristina Petracca conquer the Italian title in the K2 Senior Female specialty over the 5000 meters distance, after a textbook race.

The regattas took place on the international field of the Milan seaplane base which saw athletes in the various categories competing to win the Italian title, representing 84 companies from all over Italy.

Shines also Giorgia Lacalamita, athlete of the Navy nursery, who wins the silver in the K1 5000 meters category Boys.

The first official act of the racing season of the speed canoe was instead staged on 1 and 2 April, again in the Milan area, with the first national competition valid as a selective test for the formation of the Olympic team of the Italian canoe that will face the season. international. On this occasion, over 60 companies registered for a total of 321 athletes. Agata Fantini, the sailor in force at the Rowing Sports Center in Sabaudia, entered the squad of the blue team of the Italian Canoe-Kayak Federation by winning the K1 500 meters test.

An important result that opens the doors to the athlete for the Olympic qualification that will take place in Szeghed, Hungary, on 12 and 13 May next. There will be very few passes available to all participants and will be assigned, in the case of single boats, only to the first two classified in each category and, in the case of the double, only to the crew who finished first. Furthermore, athletes and nations that have already qualified for the 2019 World Championship will be excluded.
