Italian Joint Team Champions: Gold for the Army

The sports facilities of the Military Riding Center in Montelibretti hosted the International Eventing Competition together with the Italian Joint Team Championship. Four days of competition in which pairs from 14 nations participated for a total of 110 riders and 162 horses. Among these names from the equestrian world such as Julia Krajewski, individual gold medalist at the Olympic eventing event in Tokyo and Yasmin Ingham, the 25-year-old British eventing world champion in office.

On Sunday, the team of the Army Sports Center was crowned the Italian Interforce 2022 Champion, with Lieutenant Colonel Andrea Mezzaroba as team leader. The "home" team takes the first step of the podium with the pairings: sergeant major Emiliano Portale on Creevagh Limited Edition, first grader Roberto Riganelli with Djakarta de Mancy and corporal major Matteo Orlandi who mounted Quality in Time. In the competition, the Air Force team with silver and the State Police with bronze conquered the podium. 

After the award ceremony, the commander of the Military Equestrian Center, Colonel Marco Del Nevo, expressed his satisfaction with the result achieved and with the warm appreciation received from the delegation of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) who praised the organization and success of the event.
