Visit of the Japanese Deputy Defense Chief of Staff to the BMIS of Djibouti

Yesterday, the deputy commander of the Ground Self Defense Force (GRSF) Japanese, ten. January Testuro Yamanoue, along with its own representation, made an official visit to the Italian Military Support Base (BMIS) in Djibouti.

The commander of the BMIS, col. Pietro Mazzagatti, assisted by his own staff, welcomed the delegation with military honors and subsequently, during a round table, illustrated the logistical capacities supporting the military of the Italian Armed Forces who, with their work, contribute to the development of the country host. Furthermore, the figure of the commander of the MIADIT 5 mission, the col. Renato Chicoli, who illustrated the education program in favor of the local gendarmerie.

The visit took place in a cordial climate, aimed at strengthening and consolidating the relations between the two contingents, both present on the territory of the Republic of Djibouti.
