The ceremony took place in the presence of the city authorities and representatives of the Joint Task Force Lebanon - Sector West of UNIFIL (JTF-L SW), at the end of the works carried out by the assets of the Engineers of the Italian contingent.
Carpenters, blacksmiths, carpenters, plumbers, electricians and operators of special vehicles have created a football field, where the new generations of the municipality will be able to practice sports and all forms of motor activity, which contribute to a healthy and sociable life.
“These initiatives - underlined the commander of the West Sector, General Roberto Vergori - they are part of UNIFIL's continuous efforts to provide support to the population, using every means and tool available. Relations with communities, based on mutual respect and in full compliance with Resolution 1701, are one of UNIFIL's priorities. Sport is a universal language, through which one can understand fundamental values to give substance and meaning to one's life".
