UNIFIL: rapid intervention by ITALAIR for health emergency

The ITALAIR Task Group, a flight unit operating under the UNIFIL mission, has successfully completed a personal transport mission in a health emergency in favor of a blue helmet of Malaysian nationality affected by serious illness.

The peacekeeper in health emergency, once stabilized, was embarked on the AB-212 by the French AMET (Air Medical Evacuation Team), which works together with the staff of the 42 ° Task Group ITALAIR, and immediately transported to St. George hospital of Beirut.

The ITALAIR Task Force, commanded by pilot colonel Giacomo Lipari, continuously supports the UN mission in Lebanon from the 1979, guaranteeing the personal transport service for 24 health emergencies for hours on 24 in the entire area of ​​operation, but also by making flights reconnaissance, research, transportation and missions to support the local population.
