Air Kuwait Task Force: 4000 flight hours for the Arab Phoenix Task Group

With the 1 flight last June the Task Group aircraft Phoenix have reached the remarkable milestone of 4000 hours in operational theater, where they operate under the international operation "Inherent Resolve".

The goal achieved is the result of an inseparable combination of the advanced technology of the MQ-1C and MQ-9A aircraft and the human component, represented by the men and women of the Air Force engaged in this delicate geographical context with their competence, professionalism and passion.

The Task Group Phoenix works continuously from the Kuwaiti theater since October 2014, providing support to the Coalition forces with missions of market, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). The capacity of the structure to supply Live Full Motion Video through the use of electro-optical and infrared sensors, they make it a fundamental element for operational planning.

The TG Phoenix operates in the ambit of Air Kuwait Task Force, which has the task of carrying out intelligence operations, surveillance, aerial reconnaissance, in-flight refueling in the Middle East area. To contribute to the fight against the DAESH fighters, it makes use of various operational structures consisting of aircraft that operate from three different air bases: Abdullah Al Mubarak, Ahmed Al Jaber and Ali Al Salem, according to a complex but perfectly integrated and synergistic operating device the multiple components of the international coalition.
