Italian military personnel National Support Element (IT NSE), which operates in support ofEuropean Union Training Mission in Somalia (EUTM-S), in the last few days he has made several donations in favor of the local population. In particular, the 25 last August, were donated to the Mother Child Health Center (MCH) of the district of Kaaraan, different hospital materials (gynecological bed, hospital beds, various furnishings, mattresses, sheets etc.), while the next 27 are donated 400 kg of foodstuffs and clothing to Mogadishu prison inmates, as well as riot gear, uniforms and technical materials for the training and training of the Mogadishu prison police. The materials have been made available byInstitute for Research Studies, Defense Information (ISTRID), while the distribution was edited by the Italian military.
The deliveries were attended by dr. Roberto Faccani, Head of the Civil Military Cooperation of the OSCE, and the Commander of the IT-NSE Col. Bernardo Mencaraglia, as well as by civilian and military authorities in the city of Mogadishu. During donations, Dr. Faccani paid tribute to the memory of the volunteer cruiser Maria Cristina Luinetti, killed in Mogadishu on December 10 of 1993.
The recipients of the donations have expressed expressions of sincere gratitude to dr. Faccani and al. Mencaraglia, as well as the entire Italian contingent operating in Mogadishu to provide support for the stabilization and reconstruction process in Somalia.
