On 20 August, as part of the cooperation activities between Italy and Somalia for the local population, the Italian military of National Support Element dell 'European Union Training Mission - Somalia (EUTM-S), have made a donation from the Italian Athletics Federation (FIDAL) in favor of Somali Athletic Federation of the city of Mogadishu, with the aim of supporting the various disciplines of athletics.
The commander of the Italian National Support, Colonel Bernardo Mencaraglia, in the presence of the coordinator of the municipality of Mogadishu Muhamud Hussein Moghe, proceeded to deliver the technical clothing of FIDAL (caps, body, shorts, tights, cyclists, tank tops, t-shirts, training suits, sweatshirts and top-FIDAL) to the vice president of the Somali Athletics Federation, Mr . Farah Ali MOALIM and a representation of athletes.
During the ceremony, the Somali authorities expressed great satisfaction, underlining the importance of the projects supported by the Italian Contingent, demonstrating the close historical and affective link that binds the Somali and Italian people.
