The handover ceremony took place European Union Training Mission Somalia (EUTM-S), between Brigadier General Roberto Viglietta (assignor) and Brigadier General Fulvio Poli (incoming).
At the event, which took place at theInternational Campus of Mogadishu, presided over by the director general of european union military staff, Admiral Hervé Bléjean who sealed the transfer of responsibility between the two general officers of the Italian Army.
The activities of advising, mentoring e training carried out by EUTM-S personnel in favor of the Somali institutions have a twofold objective: to provide support at a strategic level both to the defense ministry and to the Somali general staff for organizational development and to guarantee an adequate level of sustainability of the forces also through the training of new instructors (Train the trainers).
