Poland: the commitment of the Task Force Air White Eagle ends today

The military ceremony was held today at Malbork's Krolewo airport in Poland which sanctions the conclusion of the operation enhanced Air Policing of the Task Force Air "White Eagle", which began on 1 August last.

The event took place in the presence of the operational commander of the joint joint forces general of the army corps Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, the commander of the general air squadron Alberto Biavati and numerous authorities of the Polish Armed Forces.

The commander of the COVI (joint-force operational command) conveyed to the personnel of the contingent the greetings of the chief of staff of the defense, admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone and expressed his personal satisfaction for the mission accomplished in a very sensitive quadrant, in the which the Italian pilots found themselves operating just a 5-minute flight from Kaliningrand, 20 minutes from the Belarusian border and 25 from the Ukrainian one. Also in this mission - he added - the Italian Armed Forces have shown that they can boast personnel of excellence, as well as technologically advanced platforms and he thanked for this the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, General Luca Goretti, for having made available highly trained men and women, not just fighter pilots Euro Fighter but also technicians and logistics workers.​
