Last week the Alpine troops of the Army deployed in Hungary, as part of Operation eVA "enhanced Vigilance Activity", conducted an intense training cycle aimed at increasing the synergy between the combat forces and the combat service support units of the Italian contingent .

In the exercise Strong Shoulder 2 the logistics component of the IT NSE (Italian National Support Element) jointly conducted with the multi-weapon complex, on the basis of the 8th Alpini regiment, an intense R3P (Refuel, Rearm and Resupply Point) activity necessary to support the maneuver of the component operative deployed on the ground.

In particular, after an accurate supply planning activity calculated on the basis of the CDOS (Combat Dos), i.e. the set of resources necessary to support a unit's combat day, and a route clearance carried out by the units of the 2nd regiment Genio Guastatori in order to make the LOC (Lines of communication) safe and to avoid the presence of UXO (Unexploded Ordnance) and IED (Improvised Explosive Device) along the itinerary, a service area was set up necessary to guarantee the supplies of materials Of 1 class (food, combat rations and water), 3 class (fuels and lubricants) e 5 class (ammunition and explosives) essential to keep the CE (Combat Effectiveness) of the operational component unchanged.

All the training activities carried out up to now have been made possible thanks to an efficient and reliable logistic system which has in fact proved to be the keystone on which a military operation always rests. In fact, without the use of Forces Combat Support e Combat Service Support, it would be unimaginable for the operational forces to successfully complete the assigned mission.
