Niger: CIMIC delivers 70.000 masks

With a short ceremony, carried out in compliance with the preventive measures, the air brigadier general Marco Lant, commander of MISIN, symbolically handed over a pack of surgical masks in the hands of col. maj. doctor Adam Moussa Ibrahim, director of Military Health and Social Action of the Nigerian Ministry of Defense.

The Italian mission has in fact launched a CIMIC project finalized today with the donation of 70000 masks to Nigerian military colleagues, as part of the constant support to local authorities aimed at combating and preventing the COVID-19 virus.

The donated devices will be used both for the civilian population who access the military health facilities of the city of Niamey and for the military personnel of the Niger Security Forces.

The col. maj. Adam Moussa, in his speech, thanked the Italian contingent for the constant support and closeness in this moment of common fight against COVID-19.

General Marco Lant highlighted how these projects are particularly felt by MISIN as a further initiative in the field of support to the Niger Security Forces.
