The medical evacuation of six injured following the explosion of a fuel depot which occurred near the Stepanakert-Askeran road, in Nagorno-Karabakh, ended this morning with the landing at the military airport of Pisa.
The Defense, through the Joint Forces Operational Command (COVI), the Civil Protection Department and the Aerospace Operational Command, organized a mission of Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) and allow the transfer of patients to Italy in safe conditions.
The Air Force has made available a flight crew and a C-130J aircraft from the 46th air brigade of Pisa, with military healthcare personnel on board as well as two medical teams from the "Celio" military polyclinic and one from themain infirmary of the Pisa Air Force.

The injured, boarded on stretchers suitable for transport, were transported to Pisa airport, from where they were immediately transferred to hospital facilities to receive treatment and medical assistance.
These are some of the most seriously ill people who, last September 29th, were hit by the explosion of a fuel depot while they were queuing to refuel their cars.
