The Military Police course has been launched by the MIADIT Carabinieri Somalia (Italian training mission), in favor of the Djiboutian Armed Forces (FAD). The training process, which is aimed at thirty FAD soldiers, began in the presence of Colonel Luciano Calabrò, commander of the Mission and Colonel Hassan Daher Abadid, commander of the Armed Forces of Djibouti.
The training will develop over seven weeks, during which basic notions on military combat training will be provided, with lessons on tactical progression and combat in an urban environment, then shifting the focus on police operational intervention techniques and control to road traffic with inspection and survey in case of road accidents.
As part of the specific training, lessons will also be developed on escort services for authorities and security for infrastructures and sensitive documents.
To carry out the delicate tasks of the military police on national territory and abroad, training is entrusted to the soldiers of the 2nd Carabinieri Mobile Brigade, in particular of the 1st "Tuscania" Parachute Regiment, who have been engaged for years in operational theaters throughout the world with military police functions.
