MISIN: donation of educational material to students

A donation of 16.680 French language and mathematics textbooks for primary and secondary school students. The donation of educational material, which falls within the scope of the activities of the Bilateral support mission in the Republic of Niger (MISIN) with the aim of contributing to the improvement of the quality of teaching and learning of young students in the schools of Niamey, was carried out at the regional directorate of national education, in the presence of the commander of MISIN, Air Brigade General Nadir Ruzzon.

The ceremony was attended by the ambassador of Italy in Niger, Emilia Gatto, the governor of the Region of Niamey, Oudou Ambouka and the president of the municipal council of Niamey, Oumarou Dogari.

The Nigerien authorities, the representatives of the departmental directorates and of the Inspectorates, present at the ceremony, expressed their thanks for the support that the Civil-military cooperation supplies the institutions and government of Niger.

General Ruzzon, in recalling the importance of reading and studying in the growth of culture and knowledge, expressed words of appreciation for the commitment of the president, Mohamed Bazoum, in investing in important issues such as health and education, with a view to enabling young people to have a better future.

The ambassador of Italy, Emilia Gatto, highlighted the ability with which MISIN has finalized, in recent years, projects agreed with the authorities, giving its contribution and responding concretely to the needs of the Nigerien community.

The activities carried out in the operational theater are conducted under the coordination and according to the directives given by the operational command of interforce forces (COVI), which is the defense high command responsible for planning, coordinating and directing military operations, national and multinational joint exercises and related activities.
