The "Tactical Combat Casualty Care" course has come to an end. The closing ceremony was held in Beirut, at the headquarters of the presidential guard brigade of the  Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), in the presence of Colonel Marco Zona, the Deputy Commander of the Italian Bilateral Military Mission in Lebanon (MIBIL) Colonel Marco Pelliccioni and Brigadier General El Helo, commander of the LAF brigade.

The training activity, which lasted 4 weeks, was conducted by a Mobile Training Team composed of instructors from the School of Health and Military Veterinary of the Italian Army and made it possible to train twenty-one Lebanese soldiers.

During the course, attendees have developed knowledge and skills in the immediate management of massive compressible hemorrhages, basic airway management, treatment of chest trauma, administration of intravenous and intraosseous fluids, prevention of hypothermia and trauma handling, analgesia and infection prevention, fracture and burn management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures. The military rescuer thus trained will be able to stabilize the injured and transport him to the area where the so-called medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) will then be carried out.

Through the joint effort of the personnel of MIBIL and the Health School of the LAF, the training programs have been aligned allowing, at the end of the training course, the issue of the certificate of the paramedic course of the  Lebanese Armed Forces (THE F).

The results achieved by the staff of the presidential guard brigade, with the contribution of Italian personnel, have made it possible to further consolidate the link between the Italian and Lebanese armed forces.

All the activities carried out in the operational theater are carried out under the coordination and according to the directives given by the operational command of joint forces (COVI), which is the high command of Defense responsible for planning, coordinating and directing military operations, national joint exercises and multinationals and related activities.
