MIBIL: the "CIMIC advanced" course for the Lebanese Armed Forces concluded

In recent days it ended, at the Cimic Directorate of Beirut, the Advanced Cimic (Military Civil Cooperation) module, led by Multinational Cimic Group of Motta di Livenza in favor of Lebanese Armed Forces (THE F).

The four-week course was devoted to the development of CIMIC activity (connection, support to the force, support for the civil environment), the management of relations between military and non-military actors and the training of functional specialists.

Representatives of two international organizations also took part: ICRC and UNHCR and of the NGO (Non Governmental Organization) Alpha who illustrated the respective mission. 

At the course closing ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Domenico Merico - representing Colonel Maurizio Settesoldi, commander of MIBIL - pointed out that the planned training objectives were achieved thanks also to the profound spirit of collaboration that was consolidated among the Forces Italian armed forces and the LAFs.

The ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Youssef MESHRIF, LAF CIMIC Director and Brigadier General Pierluigi Monteduro (Defense Officer at the Italian Embassy in Lebanon).
