Mali: completed course for teammembers and platoons

At the École Militaire Inter Armes (Inter Arma Military School), the course for team and platoon commanders in favor of 154 ended Malian official students, many of whom were about to take command of the units located throughout the Mali.

The course was organized and conducted by the European Union Training Mission in Mali (EUTM Mali) in collaboration with the Malian Armed Forces (MAF) and the Inter Arma Military School of the Koulikoro Training Center.

Before the closing ceremony, the cadets made different assessments to test the skills and abilities acquired during the course.

The course confirms EUTM Mali's commitment to providing assistance to the Malian authorities to support the training and reorganization of their Armed Forces in order to counter the terrorist groups and irregular militias operating in the African country.

Italy participates in the capacity building mission EUTM Mali, aimed at forming credible and stable institutions and units trained and equipped to counter the terrorism present in that area.

Currently, military employees of the "Piemonte Cavalleria" Regiment (2 °) and of the Lecce Cavalry School regarding the instructions of exploring cavalry are used, while for the training of infantry connected to the operations of close air support (Close Air Support), a team composed of staff of the 9 ° Alpine Regiment of L'Aquila, of the Alpine Training Center of Aosta, of the 8 ° Alpine Regiment of Cividale del Friuli (UD) and of the Lagunari Regiment of Venice is employed.
