Lebanon: S. Barbara in memory of his colleagues, Gigli and De Cillis

For the celebrations of Santa Barbara, patroness of the artillery and genius, today the effective Italian soldiers al Sector West of UNIFIL have recalled the sub-lieutenant Mauro Gigli and the chief chief corporal chosen Pierdavide De Cillis, fallen the 28 July 2010 in Afghanistan during the reclamation of an improvised explosive device (IED), and for which they are both decorated with gold medal for valor military memorial.

During the sober celebration, which was attended by the commander of the Combat Support Battalion (CS BN), lieutenant colonel Alberto Autunno, and many fellow engineers of the 32 ° guastatori regiment of the Taurinense alpine brigade, used for the first time in the UNIFIL mission, has been discovered a commemorative plaque placed in the headquarters of the Joint Task Force Lebanon of Shama.

The stone was made in Shama by Italian blue helmets and CS BN technicians, in their free time.
