A friendly football match between the Serie A team "Tadamon" and a representative of the Joint Task Force Lebanon (JTF-L) with the team took place yesterday at the "Sour Municipal Stadium Sport". Combat Service Support Battalion (CSS-Bn) based on the "Pozzuolo del Friuli" logistic regiment, close to the end of the mission.
The event, strongly desired by the local community, saw the participation of the commander of the JTF-L, gen. b. Francesco Olla, local authorities of many people from different communities.
For the occasion it was delivered by gen. Olla and the commander of the CSS-Bn, col. Alessandro Tassi, the Udinese football shirt to the president of "Tadamon", coming from the donation made to the "Pozzuolo del Friuli" logistic regiment by the company Udinese football in particular at the hands of Mrs. Giuliana Linda Pozzo, wife of the owner of the Italian Serie A team.
The football match, 6 ended at 4 for the hosts, was an opportunity to further strengthen the collaboration between the local population and the Italian contingent employed in the "Leonte XXII" operation, the result of a constant and daily commitment by the military to support the inhabitants of South Lebanon and in compliance with the employment guidelines dictated by the UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
