In recent days at the headquarters of theengineering regiment of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) in Kfarchima - Beirut, in the presence of the commander of Italian Bilateral Military Mission in Lebanon Colonel Angelo Sacco and Colonel Roger El Khoury, commander of theengineering regiment, the closing ceremony of the "CBRN Advanced Consequences Management" course took place.
A relevant training activity was concluded, during which a Mobile Training Team formed by 5 instructors under the 7th "Cremona" CBRN defense regiment of the Army, he was able to conduct training activities to implement the skills of the visitors and to develop an all-encompassing approach in planning for the management of a CBRN event.
Specifically, the course provided participants with the skills of managing a CBRN event, deepening the following topics: the organization of the CBRN chain of command and control, CBRN technical-tactical procedures, risk management, communications and procedures of emergency.
Thanks to the application and commitment made during the course by the Lebanese staff and to the excellent work of the instructors of the Mobile Training Team under the coordination of the MIBIL staff, all the set training objectives were fully achieved.
All the activities carried out in the operational theater are carried out under the coordination and according to the directives given by the joint operational summit command (COVI), which is the high command of Defense responsible for planning, coordinating and directing military operations, national joint exercises and multinationals and related activities.
The joint work with the contribution of the personnel of the national training mission has made it possible to further consolidate the link between the Italian Armed Forces and the Lebanese Armed Forces, between Lebanon and Italy.
