ITALBATT, the maneuvering unit of the Italian contingent of UNIFIL, currently based on the "Nizza Cavalleria" (1 ') regiment of Bellinzago Novarese, has finalized the donation of hospital and medical materials to the foundation Imam Sadr for subsequent distribution to clinics located in the south, considered the only health centers in the area.

The material delivered, including 2 dialysis devices, 10 hospital beds complete with fireproof mattresses and pillows, 1 stairlift for the disabled, 4 wheelchairs and 2 hoists, will allow the setting up of two new clinics for the treatment of kidney failure in the villages of the south, one of the most distant from the hospitals of Tire.

The donation was made possible thanks to the solidarity and collaboration shown by theHospital agency "Greater than Charity", since Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George (Campania-Naples delegation) and by the non-profit organization  Rock No War, organizations that wanted to actively support the initiatives promoted for Lebanon by the Nice cavalry as noted by Colonel Massimiliano Quarto, commander of Italbatt, during the handover.

Support to the local population is one of the three pillars of the UN 1701 Resolution as well as the control of cessation of hostilities in the southern area and cooperation with the Lebanese armed forces; basic tasks that the Italian contingent, led by the Alpine brigade Taurinense, carries out with commitment, professionalism and close collaboration with the Lebanese community.
